Hershede Grandfather Clock In Marietta

We returned a Hershede 5 tube grandfather clock back to its home in Marietta today.  The movement was totally overhauled and it turned out beautiful.

The history on this clock was well documented with a plaque and written information.

The clock was originally given to the fire chief of Richmond Fire Department by his crew on his anniversary on December 27, 1930.

When the chief passed away, his sister was given the clock.  Later in her life she had moved to a smaller location and could not bring it with her and eventually gave it to a younger couple that was a close family friend.  This couple had it for about 5 years when it quit running and they contacted us.  We were able to overhaul the movement and get it back up and running again.

The couple from Marietta are very happy with their "new" grandfather clock.
